  5.  Pratique atividades de lazer como passear, ir ao cinema, ao teatro, viajar, fazer amigos e dançar. Enfim, tenha como lazer aquilo que lhe dá prazer.
  6. Mantenha a sexualidade: não valorize apenas o ato sexual. Lembre-de de que o contato e o afeto são muito importantes.
  7. Tenha metas e objetivos. Planeje o seu futuro. Participe de decisões pessoais, familiares e sociais.
  8. Não deixe de ter atividades intelectuais. Leia muito, faça cursos, esteja por dentro dos assuntos que acontecem no mundo. Isso contribui para preservar a sua memória.
  9. Tenha fé, acredite em algo, cultive a espiritualidade. Estudos mostram que são úteis para manter o equilíbrio mental.
  10. Tome corretamente os medicamentos prescritos pelo seu médico. Além de melhorarem sua qualidade de vida, previnem complicações de doenças comuns ao idoso.
